Energy Seeds is a joint project of the Foundation for Environmental Education, and partners around the world. Our mission is to expand environmental and energy literacy.  We feel the best possible way to increase literacy is to actively involve people and organizations in real projects, with the intent of catalyzing larger projects within each of our spheres of influence.  Energy Seeds puts a face on these many projects, and tells the behind the scenes stories of our many energy farmers. 

If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?   We feel a solar project out in the global forest with nobody to tell the story may face a similar fate...nobody sees or hears about it. We think seeing and hearing is the best catalyst for doing.  We started 1kW solar schools projects to catalyze solar awareness and infrastructure...each of these solar projects are a solar seed, and Energy Seeds connects all of us. We are now taking Energy Seeds to an even smaller product, with a larger vision. When you purchase one of the items listed here, you become a fellow Energy Seeds farmer and member of the Foundation for Environmental Education. We will use the proceeds from all sales to extend the reach of solar schools programs and projects around the country and world.
